アメ横連合会 会長 星野さん 幼少期からこの街で過ごし自身も40年以上店舗を営む生粋のアメ横人。長年商店街を見続けてた独自の視点から今後の発展に向け日々邁進している。 アメ横のルーツと「今」 都内でも有数の繁華街の一つとして知られるアメ横商店街。 居酒屋、乾物専門店、雑貨屋、輸入洋服店など数多くの店舗が密集した商業エリアは他とは違った独自の魅力がある。 街の歴史は古く遡るとルーツは戦後の闇市にあるという。様々な人々が集まり各々売りたいものを売る。現在の商店街の基盤が闇市から拡散されたりと言えるのではないだろうか。 その流れを汲み近藤産業マーケット（現アメ横センタービル）が設立された。 当時無法地帯だった状況を区画統制したのが現在のアメ横商店街に繋がっている。また時代的に甘味に対する需要が豊富で飴屋が立ち並んでいたという。全盛期には100軒を超える店が連なっていたことも。そういった特徴からアメヤ横丁となり、アメ横と親しまれるように馴染んできた。今の街の雰囲気、お店、人をとってみても根源にあるモノはしっかりと根付き引き継が
